SIM Card Assignment Procedure

The SIM Card Assignment Procedure is designed to reassign returned SIM cards, releasing them from the return store and making them active again under a new user or the same users returning from leave. This procedure is only applicable to SIM cards that have been returned and are currently marked as ‘returned’ in the system.

Procedure

To begin the assignment process, follow these steps:

Step 1: Enter Mobile Number

Enter the mobile number of the SIM card you wish to reassign. Once entered, you’ll be prompted to fill in the new user’s information.

Step 2: Fill out User Information

Provide the new user’s name, department, grade, and the company they are associated with. Also, input the ISP package they are entitled to based on their grade and the details of the approver for this assignment.

Step 3: Change in Company Assignment

If the SIM card is being assigned to a user in a different company than the original owner, the costs associated with the SIM card’s package will need to be shifted to the new company. To facilitate this, you’ll need to create a letter to the ISP.

Create Letter to ISP

Click the ‘Create Letter’ button in the form to generate the letter requesting the ISP to transfer the package cost from the original company to the new one. Export the letter as a PDF, have it signed by an authorized person, and send it to the ISP.

Step 4: Complete the Assignment

After filling out all the required information and creating the letter to the ISP, click ‘Assign’ to complete the process. The SIM card will be removed from the ‘Return Counter’ and reassigned to the new user, with its status updated accordingly in the system.
