Overview

The Item Store Transfer function is a crucial tool for inventory management across multiple stores. This feature allows you to effortlessly shift items from one store to another, making it easier to handle out-of-stock situations by covering item quantities from alternative stores.

Transferring Items: Step by Step

Follow the steps below to seamlessly transfer items from one store to another:

  1. Navigate to the Commercial Module main menu.
  2. Click the “Store Transfer” button.
  3. Insert the transfer date.
  4. Choose the store you want to transfer items from by selecting the appropriate option in the ‘From Store ID’ field.
  5. Select the destination store in the ‘To Store ID’ field.
  6. The ‘Transfer_ID’ will be automatically generated by the system (e.g., 00001TRN).
  7. Specify the items you want to transfer. There are two methods to facilitate item selection:
    • Method 1: Select the item category (e.g., Grocery), followed by the item subcategory (e.g., Sugar), and then choose the desired item from the dropdown menu.
    • Method 2: Input the SAP Number in the appropriate field, then select the item from the dropdown menu.
  8. Select the ‘Unit Type’: Choose “Packaged” for full item units or “Single” for individual units.
  9. Input the quantity of the item you wish to transfer.
  10. Click ‘Save Order’ to finalize the transfer.

Upon completion of these steps, the application will automatically adjust the item quantities in both stores by decreasing the quantity in the source store and increasing it in the destination store. This feature ensures accurate and efficient inventory management across your stores.

We have provided a unique identification number for the Transfer process, which is only generated and used internally. The ID is a transfer of a counter that tracks each order’s unique number and the abbreviation “TRN” for the transfer order. The specific number can be referred to as 00001.
